Complete guide to setting up and configuring Velogic Studio software including settings, branding, and plugins

Logging in

When you open the software you will be presented with a log in screen. Please enter the same username and password that you have set for our website.

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can reset it by clicking "Forgot password" from the online sign-in page.

If you're having any trouble with sign-in, or if you want to use the system offline for a few days - see our sign-in troubleshooting document

Setting up the system

Click "Settings" on the first screen

You will see a range of options in the Settings popup:

On the Brand tab, you can setup your brand name, logo, and accent color, to be incorporated into the report:

On the Theme tab, you can choose Dark theme, and configure when headings are shown in the user interface. If you have a small screen (e.g. a laptop), you may wish to hide the headings to make more screen space available for the rest of the application.

On the Plugins tab, you can select which plugins (modules) of the application should be used, depending on the hardware & sensors you have in your studio.

The Legal tab contains links to our Terms of Trade, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Legal Notices.

The Final summary template tab allows you to edit the text that appears unchanged in every report, e.g. with details of your service and follow-up.

The Summary template tab similarly allows you to edit the boilerplate or starter text for your fit notes

The Report tab allows you to specify where you would like to keep all of your fit data. By default, this will be set to "Velogic Studio Fits" inside your "My Documents" folder; we recommend you change this location to be inside a cloud-sync'd folder like Dropbox or OneDrive.

Report settings tab

The Video format tab contains details of your current video encoder, and allows you to run an automatic test to verify the best encoder for your system.

The encoder is used to create videos of your client during a capture session. Note that the best video encoder is selected automatically when you first run Velogic Studio; but if you're having trouble with that encoder, or you've been advised to change encoders, you can do it here.

The Support tab contains a link to our docs, and options which you can set if advised by Velogic Support team:
